TRYON, NC - Muriel Pittman Pace, 80, of 625 New Market Rd., Tryon, NC, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at her home.Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Joshua and Lucia Pierce Pittman. Mrs. Pace and her husband had been married for 53 years.Surviving are her husband, Willard Pace of the home, one daughter Debbie P. Voso and her husband Chris of Moore, SC; Two grandchildren Nicole and Peter Voso. Two brothers, Ralph L. Pittman of Columbus, NC, and A. P. Pittman of Seven Springs, NC. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2006 in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC with Mr. Chris Voso officiating.The family will receive friends prior to the graveside service on Thursday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Dr., Columbus, NC 28722.
