Inman, SC -- Mildred Eva Pope, 81, of Inman, SC went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 27, 2010 at White Oak Manor in Tryon, NC. Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late John and Hattie Gibbs Jones. She was a member of the Fairforest Church Of God.. Surviving are two daughters, Lynn Crocker (Mike) of Campobello, SC and Connie Kyle of Spartanburg; two sons, Jack Pope (Sandra) of Augusta, GA and Tony Pope of York, SC; a brother John Floyd Jones of Columbus, NC. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Andy Crocker(Christine), Linley Crocker, Ben Kyle, Jessica Pope, Nick Pope and Joseph Hooper (Jen); one great grandchild, Shawn Pope. She was predeceased by a daughter Debra Perkins and son-in-law Kevin Perkins. Graveside services will be held 3:00 pm Monday, March 1, 2010 in Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC with Rev. Reggie Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 2:45pm Monday afternoon in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC. The family will be at the home of Mike and Lynn Crocker, 8680 New Cut Road, Campobello, SC.
