Tryon, NC - Michael Preston McKaig, 43, husband of Paula Bruce McKaig of 1969 Red Fox Rd., Tryon, NC died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Winston Salem, NC.Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Juanita Lewis McKaig. He was a l986 graduate of Tryon High School and had worked for Bommer Industries, Landrum, SC for approximately 10 years. Michael was an avid golfer and devoted father. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC.Surviving beside his wife of 21 years are: a daughter, Michaelle McKaig and a son, Charlie McKaig both of the home; two sisters, Susan McKaig of Woodruff, SC and Debra Siemski (Eddie) of Landrum, SC; a brother, Rodney McKaig (Audrea) of Columbus, NC. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 in the Midway Baptist Church, 2101 Highway 108 East, Columbus, NC with Rev.
