GREEN CREEK, NC -- Michael Wayne Holt, 33, husband of Tasha Stott Holt of 317 McDowell Rd., Green Creek, NC, died Saturday, August 19, 2006 as the result of an automobile wreck. Born in Riverdale, GA, he was the son of Lester Wayne and Ann Wilson Holt of Landrum, SC. He ran H & R Moving & Hauling Company with his family and life long best friend, Zac Rollins. Michael was a dedicated volunteer with both Habitat for Humanity and Steps to Hope. He will always be loved and missed by his family and friends. Surviving in addition to his wife are: Son Tyler Stott and daughter Amber Holt both of the home; Paternal grandmother, Shirley Holt of Columbus, NC; two brothers, Steve Holt (Jessie) of Columbus, NC and Joey Holt of Landrum, SC; a sister, Tara Holt of Green Creek, NC. Also surviving are several Aunts, Uncles, and cousins in Georgia, Virginia and the Carolinas. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC. Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC.
