Melissa McCall, age 72, of Columbus, North Carolina passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 16, 2023.

Melissa is survived by her loving sister, Alison G. McCall of Lyme, CT; a brother, Lash McCall of Pawleys Island, SC and Lake Wales, FL; a nephew, Blinn L. Cushman of Charlotte, NC, his wife, Anna, and their twins, Julien and Alexandra; a niece, Julia L. Curry of Old Brookville, NY, her husband, Bill, and their two children, Wick and Caroline; and a nephew, Andrew M. Cushman of Washington DC and his wife, Jenny. Melissa is also survived by her two beloved cats, Dude and Alvin.

Melissa was born on June 29, 1951 in New York City to the late Janet Jones McCall and the late Julien L. McCall, who passed away recently at the age of 100.

Melissa grew up in Darien, CT and graduated from Ashley Hall in Charleston, SC, Mount Vernon Junior College, and University of Indiana.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 1 at 3:00pm at the Old Church of All Saints Waccamaw in Pawley's Island, SC and burial immediately following in the church cemetery, beside her mother and father.
