Obituary
Max Ray Pettit, 86, of Tryon, NC died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 19, 2022.
Born in Lancaster, SC he was the son of the late Joseph Franklin Pettit and Eunice Strickland Pettit. Surviving is his spouse, Delores; one son, Derrick Pettit of Spartanburg, SC; two stepsons, Dennis Gardner of Columbia, SC, and Kelly Gardner of Spartanburg, SC; two daughters, Debra Pettit and Devon Henderson both of Spartanburg, SC; Jessica Dibdakova of Taylors, SC and Dylan Pettit of Mobile, AL; two great-grandsons; and six nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Memorials May be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
