Mary Louise Wood Pratt, 88, of Cohasset, Mass., passed away Friday morning, April 21, 2023 at Autumn Care of Saluda.Born in Millis, Mass., she was the daughter of the late James Otis Wood and Hazel Ruth Carter Wood. Mrs. Pratt was a register nurse for many years. Following her diagnosis, she and her husband came to Tryon, North Carolina to be with their daughter.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Wood Johnson (Peter).Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Nelson C. Pratt, Jr.; one daughter, Susan Pratt Martin (Cam) of Tryon, North Carolina; one grandchild, Theodore James Martin of Washington, North Carolina; two sisters, Roberta Wood Sands (Steve) of Conway, South Carolina and Linda Wood Ash (Andy) of Dubois, Wyoming.Her final wishes were that people stop smoking, so they don't have to experience cancer like she did and that you take someone who is shut in out to lunch.
