Forest City, NC - Mary Elizabeth "Peg" McKinney, 85, of Forest City, NC died Monday, December 29, 2014 in the Hospice House of Rutherford County.Born in Coopers Gap, NC, she was the daughter of the late Fifer W. and Georgia Brown McKinney. She attended Tanner's Grove United Methodist Church, Forest City, NC.Peg is survived by: nephews, nieces, and cousins as well as her loving friends and family at Synergy In Action, Inc., Tanner's Grove United Methodist Church and Rutherford Life Care.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 in Tanner's Grove United Methodist Church, Forest City, NC with Rev. Wes Craven officiating.Burial will be in Cane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Lake Lure, NC.Memorials may be made to Synergy in Action, Inc. 20 Jervey Road, Suite 102, Tryon NC 28782 for services to the disabled.
