Columbus, NC--Mary Lee Edney Lindsey, 85, of Columbus, NC died Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Brian Center in Hendersonville, NC.Mary was the daughter of the late James M. and Helen M. Edney and was the widow of George Ross Lindsey who died May 13, 2002.Mary Lee was a member of Tryon Seventh Day Adventist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sabbath School. She was employed by Dr. David Wagner several years.  Her hobbies included gardening, bird watching, and camping.Mary Lee is survived by her brothers, Carl Edney, Carroll Edney ( Teresa), Douglas Edney and James Edney (Judy) all of Tryon, NC; her sisters, Joyce Huntley of Dunedin, FL, Marjory Sichert of Indianapolis, IN, Doris Lehoskay (Andy) of Tryon, NC, Shirley Harris (Arthur) Harris of Sebastian, FL, and Bonnie Pendleton of Sebastian, FL.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.A private burial will be held at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Foothills Human Society, PO Box 985, Columbus, NC 28722.
