Obituary

SPARTANBURG, SC - Martha Ann Eidam, 76, of White Oak Estates, Spartanburg, SC passed away Tuesday evening, January 30, 2007 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC. A native of Whiting, IN, she was the daughter of the late Hallet and Fay Boswell Whelan. She and her husband, Bob retired to Columbus in May 1987. She was a PEO, and Elder and member of the Tryon Presbyterian Church, a member of the Landrum Quilters, a volunteer for the Polk County Public Library, Polk County Literacy Council and Polk County chapter of American red Cross.. Surviving is her husband, Robert A. Eidam; three sons, Gregor Eidam of Eagle River, Alaska, David H. Eidam of Lawrenceburg, IN and Thomas Eidam of Gardner, KS; one brother, James Whelan of Kenosha, Wis. and one sister, Rachael Grosz of Piermont, NY and one brother, James R. Whelan of Kenosha, WI. Also surviving are 7 granddaughters and 2 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. February 17, 2007 in the Tryon Presbyterian Church, Tryon, NC with Dr. David Hosick officiating. Memorials may be made to Tryon Presbyterian Church, 430 Harmon Field Rd., Tryon, NC 28782 or Regional Home Health Services, 120 Heywood Ave., Spartanburg, SC 29303 or the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Building 1, Asheville, NC 28801.
