SPARTANBURG, SC - Martha Ann Eidam, 76, of White Oak Estates, Spartanburg, SC passed away Tuesday evening, January 30, 2007 in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC. A native of Whiting, IN, she was the daughter of the late Hallet and Fay Boswell Whelan. She and her husband, Bob retired to Columbus in May 1987. She was a PEO, and Elder and member of the Tryon Presbyterian Church, a member of the Landrum Quilters, a volunteer for the Polk County Public Library, Polk County Literacy Council and Polk County chapter of American red Cross.. Surviving is her husband, Robert A. Eidam; three sons, Gregor Eidam of Eagle River, Alaska, David H. Eidam of Lawrenceburg, IN and Thomas Eidam of Gardner, KS; one brother, James Whelan of Kenosha, Wis. and one sister, Rachael Grosz of Piermont, NY and one brother, James R. Whelan of Kenosha, WI. Also surviving are 7 granddaughters and 2 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. February 17, 2007 in the Tryon Presbyterian Church, Tryon, NC with Dr. David Hosick officiating.
