Marietta, S.C. - Marshall Sherrell Grigg, 57, of 505 Yadkin Place, Marietta, Sc died Monday, February 26, 2007 at his residence. Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late Clarence C. Grigg and Maudie Howard McSwain. He was a builder and carpenter by trade and was a member of Truth Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are: his wife, Sherry Staton Grigg of the home; a daughter, Misty Staton of Greenville, SC; three sons, Phillip Grigg (Heather) and Mitchell Grigg (Julie) both of Columbus, NC and Bradley Staton (Erin) of Winston Salem, NC; seven sisters, Joyce Morrow (Bill) and Kaye Warner (Larry) both of Rutherfordton, NC; Martha Thompson (Don) of West Salem, OH; Faye Howell of Inman, SC; Louella Kuykendall (Ralph) and Sandra Culbreth (John) both of Landrum, SC and Darlene McFarland (F.K.) of Tryon, NC; three brothers, C. E. "Gene" Grigg (Peggy), David Grigg (Dee) and Dennis Grigg (Gena) all of Boiling Springs, SC. Also surviving are two grandsons, Jacob and Mason Grigg. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007 in the Truth Missionary Baptist Church, Greenville, SC with Rev. Sammy Kay officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery West, Greenville, SC. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night in the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, Greenville, SC.
