-Mark Alan "Boney" Jones, 63, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher, NC.Mark was the son of the late Napoleon Bonapart and Rosalie Stamper Jones. Mark was an owner/operator truck driver for Mercer Transportation until his retirement in 2005. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his family, and his dogs Rusty and Smokey.Surviving are a brother, Carl Jones of Saluda, NC; two sisters, Helen Johnson (Bobby) of Saluda, NC and Lavada Vaughan (Jerry) of Union, SC; a niece Sheryl McCall (Chris) of Saluda, NC; and two nephews, Bryan Staley (Ann-Margaret ) of Raleigh, NC and Paul Johnson (Patricia) of Flat Rock, NC.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Justin White and Rev. Nathan Rush officiating.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.Interment will follow at Saluda City Cemetery, Saluda, NC.In memory of his mother, memorials may be made to The Salvation Army Hendersonville, 239 3rd Avenue East, Hendersonville, NC 28794.
