Mill Spring, NC—Mark Edward Fowler, 54, of Mill Spring, NC passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Rutherford Regional  Medical Center.Born and raised in Polk County, he was the son of the late Larry Rex and Mary Lucille Williams Fowler.  He was a graduate of Polk Central High School where he was a member of the football team.  Mark worked for Noble Capps Jr. Logging for 19 years.  He was a fan of NASCAR and enjoyed collecting memorabilia and also enjoyed collecting coins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.Surviving is his wife, Kasey Fowler; son, Casey Fowler; daughter, Sarah Fowler; two brothers, Robert Fowler (Gail), and Larry Fowler; a sister, Amy Ives (Robert), five grandchildren and many special aunts and uncles.A funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, with Reverend Sean McKaig officiating.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
