- Marjorie Ann Daviau, 84, of Mill Spring, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Smith-Phayer Hospice House in Landrum, SC.Marjorie was born to the late Wesley and Anna Kelly Lau on May 7, 1932 in Klemme, Iowa. She was widowed twice, most recently by the death of her second husband, Dr. Robert Daviau, in 2005. They operated a family chiropractic business in Asheville, NC, and Robert taught at two local chiropractic colleges until their retirement in 1993. After retiring, Marjorie and Robert moved to the Mill Spring area where she enjoyed gardening and was affectionately known to many as "the cat lady".Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and a daughter, Lynette MacDonald.Surviving are two sons, Lonnie (Virginia) Veldhouse of Shorewood, IL, and Larry Veldhouse of Askov, MN.Memorials may be made to Foothills Humane Society, P.O.
