- Marie Rose Terhune, 85, passed away at Laurel Hurst in Columbus, NC after an extended illness.Marie was born in Patterson, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late Matteo and Mary Padula Forlenza. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Hughes in 1997 and by her second husband, Neil Terhune in 2004. She was also predeceased by two sisters.Surviving is a daughter, Linda Hartman and her husband, Dr. George Hartman of Tryon, NC; a granddaughter, Kimberly Allie, her husband Steven, and their children, Brett and Brynn of Dallas, TX. Also surviving is one brother, Matty Forlenza.The family wishes to thank her caregivers for the dedicated and loving care they provided, Cait, Amy, Ashley, Chelsea, Rhonda, Paula, Agnes, the Bayada Nurses, and the staff of Laurel Hurst, especially Becky Creasman.
