Marie Lawter, born on December 21, 1941, in Mill Spring, has left us peacefully at her home in Columbus on December 3, 2025. She is remembered as a cherished member of her community and a dedicated family member.

Marie was a proud graduate of Mill Spring High School, which laid the foundation for the remarkable life that followed. Her career at Millikin and Company (Hatch Plant) was marked by commitment and expertise until her retirement, where she had made lasting contributions to the company.

Marie was a beloved figure among her nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and love. They remember her not only for her achievements but also for her unwavering support and encouragement throughout their lives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jasper King Lawter, and her mother, Naomi Dimsdale Lawter. Marie also mourned the loss of her brother, Arthur Lawter, and her sisters: Helen Lawter Tucker, Julia Lawter Ruff, and Pauline Lawter Ruff. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and their memories will forever be a comfort to those who knew them.

Marie Lawter's life was rich with the love of family and the satisfaction of a career well-spent. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
