Marie Elizabeth Schroyer Davis, 81, of Mill Spring, went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning, September 25, 2022.A native of Polk County, she was the daughter of the late Levi Schroyer and Lydia Edwards Schroyer and widow of Charles Davis who passed away in 2017. Mrs. Davis was an L.P.N. having worked at St. Luke's Hospital, White Oak Manor and later private duty. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Schroyer.Surviving are three sons, Charles Davis, Jr. (Melinda) of Rutherfordton, James Davis (Michelle) of Ruth and Timothy Davis (Tana) of Ellenboro; one daughter, Judy McAbee (Bobby) of Mill Spring; two sisters, Virginia Painter of Green Hill and Joan Waldrop of Mill Spring. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, September 28, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel.A private graveside will be held.At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter, Judy McAbee.
