Tryon, NC -- Marianne Frost Currie Payne, 59, of General Eddey Rd., Tryon, NC, died Saturday, November 10, 2007 in St. Luke's Hospital in Columbus, NC.Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late John William Currie Jr. and Lydia Zeller Currie. She had lived in Atlanta, GA, Richmond, VA and Greenville, SC before moving to Tryon 20 years ago. She was the widow of Richard Payne who died in 1998.Surviving are two brothers, John Currie (Lana) of Cumming, GA and Richard Currie (Frances) of Franklin, TN. Two sisters, Elizabeth Currie Clark (Foster) of Birmingham, AL, and Lydia Woltering of Alpharetta, GA.
