MILL SPRING, NC - Mary Lou Garrett Jackson, 76, of Mill Spring, NC died Tuesday, August 8, 2006 in Autumn Care Nursing Center, Saluda, NC. Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Nathan and Carrie Green Garrett. She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC. Surviving are three daughters, Annie Lou Owensby and Gail Thompson both of Mill Spring, NC and Kathy West of Columbus, NC; one sister, Annie Ruth Garrett of Mill Spring, NC. Also surviving are 3 grandsons, 2 foster grandsons, 5 great grandchildren and 3 nieces. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2006 in Faith Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Rev. Tim Gouge and Rev. William Kanupp officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Ms. Jackson will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 265 Hwy. #9 North, Mill Spring, NC 28756.
