TRYON, NC - Margaret Louise Hill, 83, of Tryon, NC died Wednesday morning, December 10, 2008 in White Oak Manor Nursing Center in Tryon, NC following a period of declining health. Born in Pelham, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Thomas and Nannie Stroud Cansler. Mrs. Hill was a member of Pacolet Baptist Church in Lynn, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, H.T. Cansler, Robert Cansler and John Cansler and three sisters, Jean Henson, Mary Dempsey, Juanita Reynolds and Dot Clark. Surviving is her husband, James T. Hill; one daughter, Lynn Tinney and husband, William Tinney of Tryon, NC; one brother, Thomas Cansler of Macon, GA; one sister, Frances Leonhardt of Greer, SC. Also surviving are one granddaughter, Laura Chapman of Tryon, NC and one great granddaughter, Misha Tinney of Tryon, NC. The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel. At Mrs. Hill's request, no services are planned.
