Obituary
Columbus, NC-Margaret Jackson Gosnell, 88, of Columbus passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at White Oak of Tryon. She was the oldest child of the late Renzo Jones and Edith Rudisail Jones.
She is survived by her son, Donald Jackson and wife Manda; a brother, Ray Jones and his wife Velma of Green Creek; a sister, Linda Mills and her husband William of Columbus; a granddaughter, India Jackson of Laurel Hill, NC; a grandson-in-law, Chandler Merrell of Owasso, Ok and two great grandsons, Jackson Merrell and Levi Merrell.
Also surviving are stepchildren, Karen Dilliard (Billy) of Spartanburg, SC and Beverly Culbreth (Robert) of Inman, SC, a step daughter-in-law, Donna Gosnell of Wellford, SC and step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, David Jackson; her first husband, James Jackson; her second husband, Herman Gosnell; one brother, Donald Leroy Jones; a granddaughter, Heather Jackson Merrell; and a stepson, Roger Gosnell.
For the past 15 years, Margaret was a shut-in, confined to a wheelchair, but this never interfered with her wonderful outlook on life. She always had a smile, a hug, and a loving greeting for the many friends that visited her. She loved her friends and gave thanks to God every day for each of you.
The family would like to thank you for the many acts of kindness shown to her during these years of confinement.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC with Pastor Randall Wood officiating.
