Lynn, NC - Maisie Ruff Edwards, 78, of Lynn, NC went home to be with the Lord Thursday, January 30, 2014. Maisie was the wife of the late William Charles Edwards who died in 2010. They were lifelong residents of Polk County, making their home in Lynn. Maisie retired from the Town of Tryon after 33 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Pacolet Baptist Church. Maisie is survived by her son, Roger Edwards (Susan) of Asheville, NC; sister, Lib Pope of Charlotte, NC; granddaughters, Marti Blanton (Mark) of Mooresboro, NC and Monica Wilson of Liberty, SC; grandson, Charles Edwards (Rachael) of Mars Hill, NC; and four great-grandchildren; Alyssa Arledge, Austin Arledge, Thomas Blanton, and Abigail Edwards.Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bruce Norville officiating.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722. A special "Thank You" to all the staff at the Hospice house for the wonderful care they provided for my mother and our family during this difficult time.
