LANDRUM, SC -- Lucia Maldonado, 71, of 228 N. Laurel Ave., Landrum, SC, died Friday, January 25, 2008 in Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.Born in Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Isidro and Ofelia Maldonado Cardenas.Surviving include four sons, Paulino Alviar of Florida, Urvano Alviar of Landrum, SC, Magdaleno Alviar of Landrum, SC and Isidro Alviar of Dalton, GA; four daughters, Valentina Alviar of Tryon, NC, Leticia Baltazar of Lynn, NC, Concepcion Molina of Tryon, NC and Juana Pineda of Kansas City, KS. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, January 27, 2008 in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC.The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
