Mill Spring, NC- Loyd H. Jackson, 79, of Silver Creek Road, Mill Spring, NC died February 22, 2009 in Spartanburg Regional Hospital, Spartanburg, SC. Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late Furman and Ollie Biddy Jackson. Mr. Jackson had been retired for many years and was active in the Gideon International organization. He was a member of Big Level Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Arledge Jackson of the home; four daughters, Debbie Gilbert (Robert) of Mill Spring, NC, Linda Daniels (Bob) of Rutherfordton, NC, Loretta Edwards (Rick) of Mill Spring, NC and Cindy Kelly (Keith) of Woodruff, SC; one sister, Pantha Bridgeman (Fred) of Columbus, NC; one brother, James Jackson of Colorado. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Big Level Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Rev. Robert Orr, Jr. and Dr. Chris Osborn officiating. Burial will follow in Silver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Mill Spring, NC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 24, 2009 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. in McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC. Memorials may be made to Gideon International, C/O Dan Loudermelt, P.O.
