Lotte Loeb of Columbus passed away, Saturday evening, July 20, 2019 at her home.Lotte was born on February 3, 1934 in Munich Germany. As a young child Lotte escaped Nazi Germany with her family to Shanghai, China. They lived there for several years and then moved to Sosua, Dominican Republic. They later entered the United States through Ellis Island in New York City. She is preceded in death by her husband, Warner Loeb. Her love of animals and her desire to rescue them all was her passion in life. Although Lotte will be missed, we have comfort that she is with her Lord and Savior in heaven.Lotte is survived by her daughter Monique and son-in-law Mel McFadden, son Jason Loeb, granddaughters Rachel and Lauren. Her two sisters, Susi Tauber and Sonja Rosenbaum. Nieces Shirley, Suzanne and Michele and Nephew Lenny. And cousin Ruthie. Lotte was a joy to be around, always had a story to share and was a stranger to no one. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Crossroads Baptist Church, Columbus, NC with Pastor Nathan Deatrick officiating.Burial will follow in Ridings Cemetery, Columbus, NC.Memorials may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church, P.O.
