HENDERSONVILLE, NC - Lois (Loie) Elaine Linder, 79, of Hendersonville, NC passed away, Sunday morning, March 1, 2009 at her home following a period of declining health. Born in Rockford, Ill, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Pearl Peck Klimek and was the widow of Lawrence J. Linder who died in 1998. Mrs. Linder worked in the real estate industry in San Mateo, California for many years. Before moving to Hendersonville full-time in 1998, she and her husband were residents of Bradenton, FL. She was one of the founding members of Widowed Persons Outreach. Mrs. Linder was a longtime member and sponsor of A.A. since 1973. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Hendersonville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Laurie D. Jones who died in October of 2008. Surviving is one son, John P. Linder of Oakland, CA; one daughter, Jane Murphy of Burlingame, CA; one sister, Margie Giordani of Endicott, NY. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Loie's wishes were to be laid to rest by her immediate family at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville next to her husband Larry.
