Obituary
Linda Cochran Denton, 76, of Mill Spring passed away at Pardee Hospital on Monday, November 25, 2024.
Linda was the daughter of the late Judge Lee Cochran and Bertha Jones Cochran. Linda had a long career in health care. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and being a "Mawmaw" to her grandkids. Linda fiercely loved her husband and family. She was a member of Pacolet Baptist Church, and above all else, she loved the Lord.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Mitchell Tallent; a brother, Calvin Delano Cochran; a sister, Hazel Cochran Owens and a niece, Cynthia Diane Owens.
Surviving is her husband of 28 years, John Earl Denton; a son, Blake Tallent (Michele); two stepdaughters, Glynis McIntyre and Amy Maddox (John); ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Pacolet Baptist Church in Lynn, NC with Pastor Chad Bowen officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, NC.
