Lillie Lindsey Plumley, 90, of Landrum, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday evening, September 11, 2025, at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum.
Born in Dark Corner, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Lindsey and Fannie Ross Lindsey. Lillie was a graduate of Tryon High School, class of 1952. Following graduation, she married Grady Plumley. Lillie enjoyed genealogy, fishing and feeding wildlife. Lillie was a long-time member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Landrum.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Plumley who passed away in 2014; two sons, John Plumley and Darrell Plumley; three brothers, George Lindsey, Johnny Lindsey and Fred Lindsey; one sister, Cindy Shehan.
Surviving is one son, Jim Plumley (Rita) of Landrum, South Carolina; two daughters, Beverly Powers of New Mexico and Casondra Gerrald (Danny) of Mullins, South Carolina; one sister, Linda Gilbert of Saluda, North Carolina; nine grandchildren, Shannon Watson, Autumn Ham, Justin Gerrald, Alyssa Gerrald, Ashley Ellenburg, Joshua Plumley, Jonathan Wyatt, Emmalea Plumley and Evan Plumley; 10 great-grandchildren, McCoy Watson, Brianna Watson, Gabriel Watson, Jada Sickels, Gracelynn Lomax, Weston Gerrald, Ali Ham, Layne Gerrald, Baez Owens, Charly Gerrald; two great-great-grandchildren, Jakob Johnson, Lily Watson and one on the way, Kayson.
The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, September 15, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church in Landrum with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend Randy Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
