Columbus, NC - Lillie Mae Pack, 92, of Columbus, NC passed away, Friday, September 05, 2014 at her home.Born in 1921, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Minnie Thompson McDowell. Lillie Mae was the widow of William Rufus "Buddy" Pack who died in 1986. A longtime employee of A & P Grocery, she worked as a CNA later in life. In recent years she had attended Emmanuel Baptist Church but was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church, Landrum, SC.Surviving are her daughter, Linda P. Splawn (Donald) of Columbus, NC; and one son, Gary Pack of Georgia; as well as five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandson.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC with Rev. Brian Wilson officiating.Burial will follow the service in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC.The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service Sunday September 7, 2014 in McFarland's Funeral Chapel, Tryon, NC.Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 500 Fox Mountain Rd.
