MILL SPRING, NC - Lillian Norma Shehan, 73, of Mill Spring, NC passed away Monday morning, October 18, 2010 at Smith Phayer Hospice House, Landrum, SC.Born October 18, 1937 in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Howard James Ruff, Sr. and Rose Agetha Norman Ruff. Ms. Shehan retired from the textile industry after many years and was of the Baptist faith.Surviving are two sons, Calvin Ruff (Kari) of Sunnyview, NC and Terry Shehan of Mill Spring, NC; three daughters, Becky Nelon (John) of Sunnyview, NC, Wanda Russell (Ray) of Mill Spring, NC and Pamela Tessnear (Brian) of Pea Ridge, NC; one brother, Bill Ruff of Inman, S.C.; one sister, Gladys Melton of Rutherfordton, NC. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in the Mill Spring First Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC with Rev. David Bame and Phillip Guffey officiatingBurial will be in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Mill Spring First Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC.At other times, the family will be at the home of a daughter, Pamela Tessnear.
