LANDRUM, SC -- Lewis Dean Grigg, 65, of Hwy. 14 W.., Landrum, SC died Monday, September 28, 2009 in Smith Phayer Hospice in Landrum, SC.Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late Grady L. and Thelma McElrath Grigg. He was a 1963 graduate of Polk Central High School,and was the owner of Dean Grigg's Plumbing for 37 years. Dean was a member of Polk County Rescue for 40 years where he served as Secretary & Treasurer for 15 years and was the North Carolina Director for approximately 15 years. He was a member in Ingleside Baptist Church, Landrum, SC.Surviving is his wife, Donna McAbee Grigg; two sons, Danny Grigg and Anthony Grigg both of Landrum, SC; a brother, Tony Grigg of Columbus, NC and 2 grandchildren, Natalie Brooke Grigg and Maggie Leanne Grigg.Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009 in Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Columbus, NC with Rev. Gary Lockee officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Dr., Columbus, NC 28722.The family will be at the home, 250 Hwy 14 W., Landrum, SC.
