Columbus, NC- Leroy "T" Moss, 74, of Hooker Road, Columbus, NC, died January 1, 2009 in his home. Born in Polk County, NC, he was the son of the late William Lee and Ida Newman Moss. He worked for the Town of Tryon for 30 years, before retiring as Water Department Foreman. Mr. Moss was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Moss of the home, one son, William Leroy Moss of Tryon, NC, one granddaughter, Anita Lovelace of Rutherfordton, NC, one sister, Pearl Alewine of Landrum, SC. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Sprinkle officiating. Burial will be following the service in Polk Memorial Gardens, Columbus, NC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. in McFarland Funeral Chapel.
