Columbus, NC- Laurie Grosvalet Poche, 48 of Dublin Lane, Columbus, NC, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 in her home.Born in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of Mary Jeanne De Rosier Grosvalet of Long Island, NY and the late Stephen Grosvalet. She moved to Polk County in 2006 coming from Greenville, SC. Laurie was a homemaker and was of the Catholic faith.Surviving along with her mother is her husband of 24 years, Jonathan Poche; two children, Amber Poche and Liam Poche both of the home; two brothers, Byron Grosvalet of Waldorf, MD and Darrel Grosvalet of Long Island, NY.The body will be sent to McCourt & Trudden Funeral Home in Farmingdale, NY for a memorial mass to be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in St. Killian Catholic Church.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
