Laura Valley Randall Randall (Baby Doll) passed away, September 29, 2019.Laura was born August 20, 1936 in Grand Bay, AL and her parents were Fred Melton Randall and Bessie Grimsley Randall. They moved to Pascagoula, MS during her 8th grade year and she graduated from PHS in 1953. She married Levi A. Randall of Moss Point, MS in 1956. They built a home on a bayou in Moss Point, MS which enhanced their love for fishing.She worked for the Cumbest Law Firm, Merchants & Marine Bank, and Dr. Maier and Hull until they moved to North Carolina.She was a member of the first women's bass club recognized by Bass Masters called "The Happy Hookers". She caught more than her share of large mouth bass with Levi as they traveled and competed in tournaments.Laura and Levi were charter members of the MS Gulf Coast Kennel Club. She taught obedience classes to the working class of dogs. She and Levi raised and showed Dobermans for years.Gardening and raising food was always a passion for the two of them and in 1985, they bought 40 acres in Saluda, NC. They wanted to follow their oldest child, Laura R. Fields and her husband Nate in expectation of grandchildren and the opportunity to be a daily part of their lives.There was plenty of space to grow food and they grew plenty. Canning became a pastime and the grandkids benefited from the lessons of raising, and preserving food, raising dogs, building their house, cooking, fishing, and so much more.Their youngest child, Levi A. Randall, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Karen live in E. Hartland, CT. They blessed her and Levi with three grandsons who loved their "Mer and Grandad".She had a wonderful life and was a source of joy for so many in Pascagoula, Moss Point and Saluda.There will be a private family service.Memorials may be made to Four Season Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
