Larry "Ronnie" Ronald Morgan, 73, of Saluda passed away, Sunday morning, March 7, 2021 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.Born in Polk County, he was the son of the late Leland and Lucy Mae Russell Morgan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Ronnie retired from Spartanburg Steel. After retirement, he enjoyed sitting at the Truck Stop in Saluda waving as people pass by and drinking coffee with his friends as they solved the worlds problems. Ronnie grew up in Mountain Page Baptist Church and later became a member of First Baptist Church of Saluda.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Morgan.Surviving is one daughter, Heather Hernandez of Columbus; one son, Jeremy Morgan of Hendersonville; one brother, Leon Morgan (Judy) of Saluda; five grandchildren, Jessie, Gypsy, Hayes, Kye and Areli. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Saluda.The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church.Military honors will be conducted by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.Burial will be private.
