COLUMBUS --
Kevin Clem Williams, 49, of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 4, 2023, at his home after being diagnosed with cancer.
A native of Henderson County, he was the son of Ted and Juanita Huntley Williams of Flat Rock. Kevin was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. Kevin never met a stranger, was known for his upbeat, friendly personality and always stayed positive until the end.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, William "Buck" and Marie Huntley; Otho and Edna Williams.
Surviving in addition to his parents is his loving wife of 30 years, Lisa Tankersley Williams; one brother, Robby Williams (Wendy); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Troy and Beatrice Rhodes Tankersley; sister-in-law; Kim Mathis (Marty); brother-in-law, Kevin Tankersley (Nicole). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and all his family and friends.
Kevin was a loving and faithful husband, son, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend who was loved by many.
A celebration of Kevin's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2023, in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Reverend Carroll Poole officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his wife, Lisa Williams, Post Office Box 676, Zirconia, North Carolina 28790 to help offset the expenses during Kevin's illness.
