Kevin Andrew Finney, 63, of Green Creek, passed away, October 17, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital.Born in Fairfield, CA, he was the son of Frances Hayes Finney of Mills River and the late Robert Finney. Kevin served in the U.S. Air Force for six years. He retired from Michelin Tire Company in Spartanburg. Kevin enjoyed four-wheeling, kayaking, and was a well-respected Boy Scout leader for many years.Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife, Tennie Jain; two sons, Daniel Finney of Spokane, WA and Brian Finney of Folsom, CA; one daughter, Shenna McBride of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Michael of Asheville, and Stephen Finney of New York; one granddaughter, Juniper Finney.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2021, in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Dr. Chris Osborn and Mr. Dale Amsden officiating.Military honors will be conducted by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.A reception will be held following the service at the funeral chapel.
