Kenneth Wyatt Morgan, 80, of Inverness, FL, passed away, Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Citrus Memorial Hospital.Born December 17, 1940, at St. Luke's Hospital in Tryon, he was the son of the late Arthur Eugene Morgan and Ruth Williams Morgan. Kenneth was both adventurous and enterprising. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and spent a four-year tour of duty. While in the Marines, he traveled to various countries learning their history and culture. As an enterprising individual, he had work experience as a factory worker for the largest washing machine manufacturing company in the world, paint salesman, car salesman, insurance salesman, electrician, and an electrician for the nuclear industry. The second momentous event was his recovery from Polio paralization at the age of three.  The last year of his life was full of repeated hospitalizations due to congestive heart failure, lung cancer and various other health issues.Prior to his illness, Kenneth enjoyed guns, air boats, traveling, reading, and accumulating a vast depth of unbelievable information.Surviving are two sons, Wade Morgan and Aaron Morgan (Andrea); the mother of his children, Fran Morgan; two grandchildren, Grayson and Eli Morgan; one sister, Barbara Norman (Daniel); nieces and nephews, Joel Lippert (George), Marah Leslie (Larry), Sterah Cheng (Wayland), Heth Norman (Amanda), and Ari Norman (Carey); great nieces and nephews, Zane and Greer Lippert, Samuel and Elisha Niederlander, Maddison, Sophie and Rafe Norman, Camille, Xavier, Jasper and Cedric Cheng, Olivia, Remmington and Clark Norman.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021, at Williams Cemetery, Columbus with Pastor Nathan Deatrick officiating.Military honors will be conducted by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.The Morgan family wishes to thank the family of Bonnie Strait for their affection to Kenneth throughout the years and their most recent contributions of transportation, housing, food and other issues involving Kenneth's wellbeing.
