TRYON, NC -- Kenneth Linn Frederick, 97, 201 E. Howard St., Tryon, NC, died October 31, 2006 in Ridgerest in Columbus, NCBorn in Kansas City, MO, he was the son of the late Robert Clifton and Lucy May Snodgrass Frederick. Mr. Frederick worked for Western Electric, which was a subsidiary of AT & T and retired to Tryon in 1976. He managed the sound system for Tryon Fine Arts Center, and was a member of the Congregational Church of Christ in Tryon, Trout Unlimited of Tryon, Tryon Bird and Nature Club, The Men's Bridge Club, The Second Wind Hall of Fame, Tryon Country Club, and Foothills Equestrian Nature Center.Surviving is his wife, Martha Sleepack Frederick. Two sons, Kenneth L. Frederick, Jr. of Chillicothe, OH and Peter L. Frederick and his wife, Patricia of Sarasota, FL. One step-son, Donald Thomas Currier and his wife Glenna Jean of Louisville, KY. Also 3 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Frederick was preceded in death by a son, David A. Frederick who was killed in Vietnam.A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at Foothills Equestrian Nature Center with Dr. Joseph L.
