Max Keith Gordon, 56, of Rutherfordton, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday morning, February 28, 2026.

Born in Henderson County, North Carolina, he was the son of Dorothy Carswell Gordon of Columbus, North Carolina and the late Albert Max Gordon. Keith was a graduate of East Henderson High School. He was employed at Allstar Automotive in East Flat Rock, North Carolina.

When Keith was not working, he enjoyed fishing and hiking.

In addition to his father, Keith was preceded in death by his loving companion, Leanda Maillard, who passed away January 14, 2026.

Surviving in addition to his mother are five children, Tiffany Nock of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Terrence Gordon of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Robert Oberheitmann of Marion, North Carolina, Serena Gordon of Hendersonville, North Carolina and Abbygail Gordon of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; two brothers, David Gordon (Deborah) of Rogersville, Tennessee and Rob Gordon of Columbus, North Carolina; Also surviving are five grandchildren.
