Columbus NC- Kathleen Herdman (Hughes), 82 died Saturday, September 3, 2023 at Spartanburg Medical Center.

Born in Los Angeles, CA, Kathleen was the daughter of the late Albert and Margret Sarrizan of CA. Kathleen moved from California to Polk County in 2001 with her late husband (2012) Roy Herdman. Kathleen was an avid college football watcher with her favorite team being the University of Notre Dame. Kathleen is survived by her daughter's Lauren Townsend (Vernon) of Moyock NC, Noreen Howell Dimsdale (Bill) of Columbus NC, granddaughter Jennifer Doctor (Ryan) of Fort Wayne IN, grandson Sgt. Andrew Townsend of Fort Bragg NC, great granddaughter Gianna Williams, great grandsons Thomas Williams and Eli Doctor from Fort Wayne IN. Kathleen was preceded in death by her son Thomas Howell (1992) and a brother Michael Hughes (1997).
