Karl GimpelColumbus, N.C. - Karl Gimpel, 86, of Tryon Estates died peacefully on 7/l3/2006. Born August 2, 1919, he was the son of the late Adam and Margaret Gimpel. He retired as president of Gimpel Corporation in Pennsylvania and after retiring he and his wife moved to Columbus, NC. Karl was a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital. Surviving are his wife M. Ruth Gimpel of Columbus, NC; a daughter, Norma Conklin of The Villages, FL; 2 sisters, Cathryn Sabath and Barbara Moyer both of Southampton, PA and a brother, Joseph Gimpel of Daytona Beach, FL. Karl was blessed with 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; many brothers and sisters in-law; nieces, nephews and cousins living across the country. His son K.
