SUNNY VIEW, NC - Julia Mae McGuinn, 83, of King Stepp Rd., Sunny View, NC went home to be with the Lord, Saturday afternoon, November 4, 2006 in Margaret Pardee Hospital, Hendersonville, NC. Born in Rutherford County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Callie Dimsdale Price and wife of the late Edgar McGuinn who died in 1958. She was devoted to her Lord, family and friends and was always there in time of need. Mrs. McGuinn was a member of Sun Rise Baptist Church, Sunny View, NC. Surviving include her son, Hazel "Bill" McGuinn and his wife, Sheila of Sunny View, NC; four grandchildren, Tim of Mill Spring, NC, Eddie and Kenny of Fairview, NC and Lisa of Knoxville, TN. Also surviving are 8 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2006 in Cane Creek Baptist Church, Lake Lure, NC with Rev. Blaine Jones and Dr. Ansel Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening in the McFarland Funeral Chapel. At other times, the family will be at the home of her son, Bill McGuinn, 25 King Stepp Rd., Sunny View, NC.
