—Judith Ann Ruff, 84, of Mill Spring, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Judy was a native and life-long resident of Polk County, NC and was the daughter of the late Jessie Jake and Mary Jane Walker Shehan.  She graduated from Mill Spring High School.  Judy worked as a cafeteria manager for the Polk County School system for over 25 years.  She was a member of Mill Spring First Baptist Church.Judy was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Moore.  Judy was also predeceased by nine siblings, Leo, Buddy, Pauline, Elma, Ellen, Jewell, June, Peggy, and Jay.Judy is survived by her husband, Bill Ruff; her son, Robby Moore (Angie Sizemore) of Flat Rock, NC; a brother Steve Shehan (Leisha) of Columbus, NC; a sister, Elizabeth Wahl (Lindsey) of Green Creek, NC; a stepdaughter, Sheila Mitchell (Kyle) of Boiling Springs, SC and three step-grandchildren, Isabella, Mitch, and Lily-Ann.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.Per Judy's wishes, the family will hold private services.
