Joyce Ann Nodine Taylor, 81, of Hillsborough passed away, Saturday afternoon, June 12, 2021, at Mebane Ridge Care.Born in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Maurice Willard Nodine and Nancy Smith Nodine. During her working career, she was a financial secretary having served at Hope Valley Baptist Church in Durham, Edgewood Baptist Church, and Parkview Baptist Church both in Lakeland, FL retiring in 2007. She and her husband returned to North Carolina in 2009 and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Durham. Mrs. Taylor was devoted to her family and church.In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Larry A. Taylor, Jr.Surviving is her husband of 57 years, Reverend Larry A. Taylor; one son, Rodney Taylor (Martha) of Dublin, OH; two daughters, Beth Boyce of Hillsborough and Tara Walls (Robert) of Lakeland, FL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021, in the McFarland Funeral Chapel with Reverend John Williams and Reverend Jerry Sawyers officiating.The family will receive friends prior to the service Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral chapel.Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
