Joyce Watkins Aultman, 78, born and raised in Raleigh, NC currently residing in Landrum, SC passed away peacefully Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Spartanburg Medical Center with the love of her family surrounding her.

Joyce was the daughter of the late Thomas Reeves Watkins, Sr. And Marion Louise Newton Watkins. On Easter Sunday 1965 she married the love of her life after meeting 6 months prior at the NC State Fair. She showed unconditional love and was the center of her family. Her dearest passions included horses, gardening, and anything that brought her family together. She had two horses during the time her children were very young and loved riding. Joyce carried that passion for horses all the way through the rest of her life.

All her family and anyone she touched felt her gentle beautiful soul, and we will miss her dearly. Surviving is her husband Larry Wilson Aultman; her children, Dawn Aultman Quade (husband, Mark Hillery Quade), Dale Renee Aultman, Derek Wilson Aultman (wife Michelle Wellman Aultman), Daniel Wilson Aultman; her Grand Children, Avery Michelle Aultman, Rylan Wilson Aultman, Kendall Shannon Quade, Sean Patrick Quade; her brother, Thomas Reeves Watkins Jr (Tommy Jr), and sister, Cathy Watkins Mahoney.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 in the McFarland Funeral Chapel in Tryon, NC with her cousin, Pastor Harold Price, Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes any memorials to be made in Joyce's honor to The Vasculitis Foundation. This Foundation sponsored a clinical trial that was instrumental in saving her life 13 years ago and providing her a rich quality of life.
