Columbus, NC - Joseph Wayne Forthman, 49, of 97 Kate Ln. Columbus, NC, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 quietly at home after a long battle with poor health.He was born at Camp Lejune, NC to the late Homer and Ann Youngblood Forthman. He is survived by his wife Christine, and son Joseph, both of Landrum, SC; three daughters, Sandra of Black Mountain, NC; Amanda of Tryon, NC; and Brittney of Columbus, NC. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Destanee and Samantha as well as brothers: Ricky, Ronnie and Kenny; sister, Debbie; niece, Elizabeth and nephews Daniel and Kenny.The family will receive loved ones and friends for a memorial service 11:00am Thursday, March 24th at Lynn First Baptist Church, Thermal View Dr. Lynn, NC with Pastor Donald Vess officiating.He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
