Mr. John Lewis Fisher, age 81, of Toccoa, GA, formerly of Tryon, North Carolina; passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Pruitt Healthcare of Toccoa.Born January 1, 1936 in Tryon, NC, he was a son of the late Warren Austin and Annie Sue Shehan Fisher. Mr. Fisher retired from Fletcher Limestone and was a member of Pacolet Baptist Church in Lynn, North Carolina.Family members include a son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Lynne Fisher; grandchildren and spouses, Mallorie and John Godwin, Clancie and Dusty Scott, and Chandler Fisher; great-granddaughters, Sloan Godwin, Willow Scott, and Hazel Scott; and extended family, Donnie and Marilyn Anderson.He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Margaret Ann Fisher.Graveside services will be held at one o'clock Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Polk Memorial Gardens in Columbus, North Carolina with the Rev.
