Mill Spring, N.C. - John Edwin Dail, 89, of Hickory Nut Drive, Mill Spring, NC died Sunday, September 27, 2009 at his home. Born in Calhoun, FL he was the son of the late Leonard and Suzie Bennett Dail. Mr. Dail was a retired industrial painter and was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC Surviving are: his wife, Lois E. Lancaster Dail; three sons, Richard, Rodney and Robert "Tony" Dail all of Lakeland, FL; two daughters, Terry Hiers and Judy Dickinson of Lakeland, FL; two brothers, Charles and Joseph Dail both of Lakeland, FL; and three sisters, Doris Parker of Palm Bay, FL; Joyce Kirby and Vivian Reynolds both of Lakeland, FL. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 in the Silver Creek Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Osborn and Rev. Warren Elliott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday just prior to the service in the Silver Creek Baptist Church, Mill Spring, NC. Family will be at the home of Helen Tolerico, 373 Chimney Rock Road, Mill Spring, NC 28756. Memorials may be made to Silver Creek Baptist Church, 1955 Silver Creek Rd., Mill Spring, NC 28756.
