Saluda, NC—John Carl Bell, 71 of Saluda, NC died Saturday, September 25, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital in Columbus, NC.He was a native of Polk County, NC and was the son of the late Henry L. Bell and Nancy A. Case of Saluda, NC.  He retired from the State of South Carolina, and was a member of Warrior Mountain Baptist Church.Surviving is his lifelong partner, Linda Waldrop; two daughters, Katie Bell of Mills River, NC and Sally Bell of Greenwood, SC; one sister, Sarah Ballard Bell of Zirconia, NC; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Bell and Lloyd Bell and two sisters, Shirley Anderson and Virginia Bell.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.Due to COVID, no public services will be held.A private burial will be held at Mountain Page Baptist Church Cemetery in Saluda, North Carolina.
